Hello from a newbie to smoking
Hello to everyone, I have just placed an order for the Frontier smoker and am expecting delivery 21st Mar. I am new to smoking but have many years experiance using a Weber charcoal grill. I cant wait to get my hands on the smoker I think I will attempt ribs and pulled pork first but not together to start with !!

Hey AnvilHead (Interesting name ).
Welcome to the Forum, we love to see pictures of food (don't worry, my wife thinks I'm mad taking pictures every time I cook something, I'm sure she'll get used to it one day).

Re: Hello from a newbie to smoking
Great looking stuff, you guy's seem to know what you're doing... I thought you mentioned Newbie?
Re: Hello from a newbie to smoking
I have lots of experience of bbq'ing but have only smoked a couple of times on the weber with only mixed results so I thought i would take the plunge and buy a dedicated smoker. Adie has been smoking with a WSM since last summer and has had some very good results I will be happy if i get somewere close to that.

Re: Hello from a newbie to smoking
My wife looks at me strange if I don't have the camera in hand when making some BBQ..
Welcome to the forum.
My I be the first to pass on some BBQ wisdom. BBQing is smoking or cooking using low heat, with smoke.. What you have been doing with your Weber up until you got your ProBBQ Frontier is grilling.. There is a huge difference and the two cannot be mixed up and exchanged at will.. BBQ is BBQ and grilling is burning meat...
Welcome to the amazing world of real BBQ.. Just wait till you invite some friends over for a "BBQ" and you blow their socks off with some creation from your smoker.. It is almost unfair..
