I had the wife and both daughters in tow, and we discussed (and ate) some smoked cheese and the cold smoke generator - which I will get around to trying one day soon (it's spent the last 9 months still in its cardboard box; for all I know, I could have bought an empty box). I've acquired a fair amount of oak (and cherry) dust thanks to a recent woodworking obsession, so I have no excuse at all.
