First cuts made...we're underway. Lookin' great so far...keep the pics coming.

I want to build it as fast as I can but finding enough steel is proving to be the tough part. I am amazed that I can't find much expanded steel for the cooking grates though. As for the hinges for the doors I may need to make up something or have them shipped over. We are trying to build this on a serious budget so it may take more time than I would like it to.

Don't know that there's much that I can do to help out, but if you think of anything, let me know!

Can you get ahold of those weld on barrel hinges that everyone uses? I could use about seven of them.

Hit it hard today but didn't get to finish the build because of to all the fabrication work but we are well on the way.

Thanks we still have a ways to go and that paint is very thick so it's going to be a BIG hot burn. I may not even burn it and just repaint it for now.

Things left to do-
~The inside needs to be wire wheeled.

~Need to make a plate to cover the original opening in the top.

~Add two 2" intakes.

~Burn the shelves.

~ Make the fuel cells.

~Attach jockey wheel.

~ Make and attach three more door henge.

~Season

Doc, your rig is looking great! I have done some checking around here (and with a friend of mine who knows more than me on the hinge topic) and can't seem to find what you're looking for. Did I read that you're just going to make your own?

No problem. I made my own out of 1/2" pipe now I just need to find a section of round bar to fit it.

Is this terrible? I think the smoker is more exciting than the car.

looks like a Ferrari to me. Sorry that is marginally more exciting than the smoker.

Guess it's not the Doc's car as there's no tow bar on it for the bowser

No doubt a nice car! I've never been much of a 'motorhead'...but can appreciate it. The smoker is so much more attainable for me...can appreciate it a bit more.
I'm just weird that way.

I came back at the right time. We have a bowser that we want to mod also. You really know how to inspire someone Doc!!!
