Cleaning the Water Pan for Roasts
Being ex-army I have had plenty of experience cleaning married quarters for "March Out". Anyway, I decided to give a go an old method for getting the grime of the inside of ovens.
I bought a tin of household ammonia and placed my grates, water pan and anthing that would fit inside a bin liner (Baby Weber) along with a towel. I poured the Ammonia on the towel and sealed the bag.
After leaving it overnight, all the hard bits of cooking dirt came of with a simple wipe. At the extreme the stubborn ones took a semi hard rub with a brillo.
My waterpan is like new now!
Awesome!

Re: Cleaning the Water Pan for Roasts
I've found that wrapping the water pan in foil before the cook kept it nice and clean. Has anyone tried oven cleaner on the grills yet?
