Sand or Sand/Water combination
I would be interested to hear any opinions on the use of sand in the water pan or a combination of half sand then foil and water, does this give better results than just water ?
Is the temp easier to maintain ?? does the cooker stay hotter for longer ??? .......... also what is the best sort of sand to use ????

Re: Sand or Sand/Water combination
The sand + water thingy is the best of both worlds imho. It gives very steady temperatures
with no risk of overshooting on case the waters gone ( cause the sand is still there) and makes for very easy cleanup.
Any clean dry playgroundsand will do.

I used sand on the last cook and it was great , only thing I'll say is line the pan well to make it easier to clean. I'm thinking of finding something to use to make a pan that's smaller in diameter.
