Joined today as I was breaking in the new smoker with ribs and pork butt. Saw the Pro-Q in some youtube videos and decided I had to have it. All smoking in the past has been done in my Weber Kettle or my Brinkman ElCheapo smoker lovingly nick named R2D2. Could not find a Pro-Q but did find what I believe is an identical unit to the Excel 20 in the Napolean Apollo 3 in 1 smoker. I seems exactly the same except it is tagged Napolean on the access doors and handle. Arrived from Amazon with slight damage but Napolean is shipping replacement parts. Main problem was a missing or broken weld on one side of the coal basket. Fit and finish was pretty good although there is some misalignment of the latches. They all close but are at the limit of potential offset. Anyway the ribs were terrific and I need now to go shred the pork.
Hope to make some new friends here Smile

Hi Lamoka,

Welcome! The Napoleon is exactly the same as the Excel 20, just re-branded for them. They are a good company, so should be able to sort the damage out for you. Was it damaged in transit... Outer box crushed?

The packaging was in reasonable condition. I ordered the unit through Amazon and I believe they sent me one that had been sold and returned. The case was double taped and had a shipping label from an individual in Kentucky to Amazon.
The damage is a missing weld on the handle attachment to the coal basket. Looks like it was never made.
The concept of the multiple sections and expandability is brilliant. I picked it over the Weber because of the multi functional capability.
Also appreciate the handles.
The larger opening on the Weber is more user friendly, and I'd suggest 2 probe holes in each section to support dual monitoring digital devices.
I do appreciate all the features the unit has and my first smoke yesterday proved successful.
I'd like to buy the cold smoker device. Can you suggest a dealer?

Welcome , if you have any questions just fire away. I have been running the cold smoker for a few weeks now and love it. I didn't think I would be into cold smoking but was I ever wrong! Cool
