Buongiorno from sunny Italy!
Hi guys!
I live in Umbria, near Assisi, with my wife Lin. We bought an old villa, completely restored it and have lived here for nine years now.
We've made our own wine for six years but found that a lot of work. We pick our olives and get over 100 litres per year. We also keep chickens, rabbits and ducks.
My sister-in-law gave me a cold smoking unit for Christmas and didn't realise what she was getting me into! So many ideas, so little time!
We have run a property marketing business here for the last eight years and feel it is time to move on. Smoked foods seem a real possibility.
My big passion is slot car racing and I have built a huge track in our stables based on the Italian countryside, with a castle, a village, a viaduct and even a cemetery. I'm a very active member of www.slotforum.com so not new to forums and how they work.
We also do B&B and have three rooms. We have a pool in the garden which attracts a lot of clients.
Anyhoo, I'm very excited to be here and meet you all.

Welcome Graham!
I'm looking forward to seeing the results of the food you're smoking out there.

Thanks Mack. I've applied for details of dealership and want to get some prices, but I have plans to smoke garlic and salt as well as the usual stuff. Fresh foods, veg and meat are good quality here, cheap and plentiful.
