Smoker lid thermometer

Hi guys

I'm after a replacement lid thermometer for my Kingsford smoker BBQ... the one that came with it is a bit naff.

Don't want digital, remote controlled, or anything with bells on. Just a decent quality thermometer which is either definitely accurate straight off the bat, or that I can recalibrate.

Oh, and available to the UK... any ideas?

I've been looking for one for the UDS I'm building but have had no joy. By the time I get a decent sized, good model, Tel Tru shipped over here (KCK will ship one) I'm getting up to near the same price as a Maverick ET-73 so it's a no brainer.

There's some River Country ones on EBay that can be shipped to the UK that will no doubt be better than the one on your cart but I don't know how good they are.

If I were you I'd get a Maverick, they are brilliant.

Quick update, I ended up getting one of the River County ones for the lid (seems to be nice and accurate), and a Maverick also.
