Mat for Deck Empty Mat for Deck

My Excel 20 will be with me shortly. Most of the pictures I see of placement are on bricks or concrete. I plan to put the cooker on my deck. Is there enough heat coming from the bottom that I'll want to purchase a mat to shield the deck?

You will want something under it so try going with a drip pan that fits under a car to protect your driveway. They are inexpensive and work like a charm.
