Re: British BBQ Championships
Marco, it's about a 2.5 hour drive I think... you'd be welcome to come and share a few beers.
Re: British BBQ Championships
Knowing Ian you would have to be buying the beer in order to share it..
I love the guy but he is the best beer tester I have ever met..
At the Canadian open he was by like ever hour to make sure our beer had not gone bad..

All Weather Griller and I will be there we have both secured a pass for the weekend
Cant wait, I am hoping to learn some new tricks and have a few beers at the same time ......... cant think of a better way to spend a weekend that doesn't involve taking my clothes off

Re: British BBQ Championships
Great news Shane!
You will have a choice between the new ProQ Excel and a Chargriller offset to cook on (you can use both if you want, but I'll only be supplying one free to use).
Good luck and I look forward to meeting you.

Re: British BBQ Championships
Thanks mark I need to go back to the site and revisit all the details. Are any members here involved in the structuring of the event?

Re: British BBQ Championships
Hi Al
I am involved, to the extent that we are providing all the units for competitors to cook on...
Each team will have a choice of what machine, either the ProQ Excel or a Chargriller Family Scout, free for them to use. If a team would like one of each unit, they will have to pay for the additional unit, at a greatly reduced price ( Chargriller for £130.00 and the ProQ FOR £150, this is almost half of the normal retail price). Teams may also bring their own equipment to cook on.
I have a meeting with the organisers on Monday 28th, so if you have any questions, feel free to post them before them, so I can bring them up at the meeting.

Re: British BBQ Championships
Ohh that's awesome!!
Are there any reegistration fees?
Is camping allowed for teams? I noticed the list of hotels etc but thought I would ask. I'm looking at about five or so people including myself.
How early can the cooking begin?

Had a look, and I didn't see any registration fees, but I'll put it on my list for the meeting.
I don't think the site is large enough for campers, but again I'll ask at the meeting.
Start time is another point I'm unsure of, hopefully I'll get answers on Monday and can post results on Tuesday.
Re: British BBQ Championships
