snake charcoal method
Has anyone tried the snake charcoal method on there Exel, I want to do some loin ribs and want to save on charcoal. I will be using Aussie heat beads and do not want to use the water bowl. Ribs are from Costco so will only take between 3-4 hours to cook.

Maybe I should have asked the owner of MACS when he was judging the Grillstock festival in Bristol last weekend.

Doing this now. Three heat beads wide and two high.Started off with 13 briquettes using one stacker.
Temperature is at 220-230 after 20min with all vents open with a small tray of water on the grill level.

Started at 2 with loin ribs, adjusted vents a few times but did not go above 240f
Put chicken legs and thighs on at 3:30 .Opened all vents, temp now at 225 at 3:45

Had to add the water bowl in the end as temperature went over 260F
