hello hello hello!

Hello!

My husband has bought a ProQ frontier smoker and was really excited we tried it out on sunny saturday and it was yummy but we ended up putting it in the oven so our children could eat at a respectable time! he was a little disappointed but it didn't stop him finishing off two chickens and barely leaving any for his sandwiches this morning?!

Anyway hes gone off to work today and I've got a leg of lamb resting on the side ready for tea and I'd like to surprise him tonight with it and I read all the instructions on lots of the threads so I think I know in theory how to do this.

However being as the BBQ in our house was always manly cooking and I'm never let anywhere near unless its passing plates for food I'm not sure I'm going to manage I might need help!!!!!!

Anyway just getting breakfast over with and I'm going to start.... wish me luck!!!!!!!

Welcome!

I am sure you will do fine and the food will taste great.
For a leg of lamb, I would allow between 3.5 - 4.5 hours cooking time.
A point to remember is food will take quite a lot longer to cook on a smoker as apposed to in an oven (twice the time at least), as your cooking at temps of around 110 degC, so the chickens should be allowed to cook for around 3.5 hours. The top air vent must remain fully open while cooking.
