Shame about the weekend, and more importantly your post... I was looking forward to giving you some grief about the "No Show" but can't think of anything witty to write in response. Was the trowbridge thing a last minute deal? Toby has the event calendar (http://www.bbbqs.com/Calendar.html) on the forum now so you should be able to view that in advance (7 P's). I suspect though when word gets around about Dr. Sweetsmokes event BBQ's you will be busy most weekends.

The event was, as per Toby's usual standard excellent!!!, shame about the weather and I know Toby was getting to some beef about not knowing if you were coming or not. The weather could have beenworse though. I will have to wait now to see how my sauce would have done against the famous Dr Sweetsmoke prize winner.

Anyway, cutting to the chase are you coming to the end of season friendly at Toby's? It would be good to give you some grief in person and partake in a cider. In fact we would need to toast Royal Q's impending nuptuals as he will be on a leave pass for his Stag Night.

Who was who? Obviously I could recognise Mack from his photo, but what about the rest of you?

The weather wasn't that bad. We arrived at about noon on Sun, and it didn't really start to rain until everyone was packing up at about 4.30pm. We missed trying any ribs (spent the first hour with the children at the play area), but everyone's pork was good. Except the Crispy Critters - their pork was great, and my eldest daughter certainly agreed.

Well the weather was bad enough to destroy our gazebo. We had to recruit Adie's kids to hold it up while we got through turn in then the security lads had to help us rip it down before it flew across the field and killed someone
