Just joined and gonna snoop around a while before I start posting. I also just got a good deal on a Frontier...so I figgered I'd give it a whirl. I have had 2 offsets in my life, and 1 is still in the family but not in use for a little while Rolling Eyes for those of you that know me.

Do I season the new unit? I was thinking of doing it with peanut oil, like I did my 2 offsets. Good idea? Bad idea?

Hi and welcome David.
I would just start a small pile of briquettes/ Lump, throw some wood for smoke on and let her go for about and hour. Use water in the pan, so the temps don't get out of control.
