Chicken Wings with Jalapino and Red Raspberry Jelly
Inspired by Don Marco's cherry jalapino wings I came up with this version.
1 cup apple juice
1/2 cup jalapino pepper jelly
1/2 cup red raspberry jelly
salt
1/2 tsp hot chili powder
1 tsp black pepper
dried parsley
I put a spice mixture of salt, pepper garlic powder and hot chile powder on the raw wings.
Mix all that stuff together and simmer until it starts to thicken up. Make your fire in the smoker and get it up to temp. I smoked the wings for about 1 hour. After that I brushed the above mixture on both sides, waited about a half hour then brushed them again. After another half hour I took them off the smoker and put the grate down on the fire and brushed them once more with the mixture, this time letting the mixture carmalize a bit. Once this was accomplished I ate them.
I have an excel 20. In the water pan I put 2 ears of corn in the water during the last half hour or so. I'm not sure because the beer I was drinking made me lose track of time. I think it was a half hour.........or so. The combination of the smoke and the mixture dripping down in the water made the corn really good.

Looks great. You can't go wrong with wings. The best bit of the bird IMHO

I've never tried to do the corn that way before either. That's why I only put 2 ears in. After we ate it my wife and I both wished we had another one!
