can i do pulled pork in 6 hrs

hey all

well the title gives it away really, im realy liking the look of pulled pork and wanna give it a go i have a amigo ad can get 6hrs cookin safely so obviously depending on the size can you do pulled pork in 6 hrs.

just 1 more thing do u use a water pan or not

I don't think it can be done with or without a waterpan. You are just going to have to keep it fueled up man.

what temp do i need to get the smoker to and do i have to use a water pan or not

Run the temp at 225 F for best results, using a waterpan is opional and down to personal choice.

you can definitely do pulled pork in six hours, cook covered at 350 in an aluminum roasting pan, when internal temp hits 175-180, open her up and let it brown. internal temp of 195, pull, rest it and you should be good to go.

It really depends on the size of the pork butt. I always figure 1 1/2 hours per pound (about 45 minutes per KG), that is cooking without foil wrapping. If you have a large cut, try cutting it in half and do it in 2 pieces if you really need it done in 6 hours or less.
