amigo help needed
heya guys and gals
ive been reading posts on here for a while now but cant seem to answer my questions so any help would be much appreciated, well here goes :-
i was wadering how if its possible to control the heat on the amigo as there is no bottom vent and also i cooked my first chicken yesterday for four hours and i must say it was just amazing ( ive seen less juice in a watermelon lol ) so i know it can keep the heat for four hours without touching it but i wanna try a leg of lamb and i assume this will take alot longer but how long will the amigo keep burning without top up.
when i done the chicken i put about 2 kilos of coal ( minion method ) in the tray, now could i put 5 kilos and will that hold heat for longer.
just 1 more the water seems to evaporate very quickly so i was thiking of using sand but can i use any sand ie builders
sorry for wafflig on abit
mat

Re: amigo help needed
Hi Mat,
The only way to control temps in the Amigo is by varying the amount of charcoal or water you use (no water in some cases), also the type of charcoal will affect the temps.
Sand can be used instead of water, but make sure it is clean... playground sand.
Dpending on how you like your lamb (I like mine slightly under done, so I only cook it for about 3 hours).
Hope this helps
