Hello,

my name is Tobias. I´m from Germany, from the Westerwald / Western Forrest.

For many, many years I thought grilling is just the fast and brutal raping of meat, pork or sausages directly over fire. The hotter the better.

I became father in october 2006. And because I´m a carpenter and earn much less money than my wife as a teacher, I decided to stay at home and do the "housewife".

Until april 2007 I onley had onley a few low-budgett and low-quality grills. They didn´t survive longer than a summer. So I decided to buy a realy good one. And a small one, because we didn´t have enough space. I bought this one:

http://www.weber-grill.de/shop-cat-Holzkohlegrill-art-121079.html

I grilled every evening from the end of april to the middle of october. Everyone who is married knows, that wifes don´t like the same grilled food every day. But we in Germany are a very poor BBQ-Nation. So I looked on amarican websites (please forgive me, but they seem to the best at BBQing, of course they think it...)and made more and more experiences in BBQing on my small grill.

The Go-Anywhere is very small, but very good. I discovered indirect grilling, grilling vegetables, grilling deserts. After I hab read a lot abaut water-smokers, I made some tests with the Go-Anywhere as water-smoker. It worked, but it´s hard work. You always have to stay near it.

I searched for a water-smoker, but not the WSM, which is much to expensive. So I went to SPOGA in collonge. There I met Ian. He was there and showed the ProQs to everyone. I talked to him abaut twenty minutes and he convined me that the ProQ Frontier with three stachers is my new BBQ-Smoker.

Because I had some problems with the temperature and the airvent, I have built two other air vents in the my base-unit of the ProQ. Sorry I didn´t find the possibilty to take some pictures here... Now it works perfect. The new airvents are original parts from the WSM, because you can´t buy spare parts for the ProQ in Germany. If you can buy them in England please tel me, I´ve some more ideas for pimping my ProQ.

Here one of my pimping ideas: I want to built another grillrost in every stakcher I have. Because if you smoke some burgers or ribs you don´t need the complete hight of the stacker. With an extra grillrost inside every stacker you could double the number of burger. That would be great!!!

I allready read about the new ProQ, which is bigger than the WSM. If I can buy it in Germany I will buy it. This thing is absolutley geil, as we say in Germany.

So enough written. If there are some questions, please ask. I hope we have much fun together and we learn from each other.

Maybe just because we have many more people doing it Wink

But I tell ya, I have seen the works of many from the forum in Germany, Italy, Canada, Australia and UK, and y'all can cook too. The pictures show it.

I bet with you cooking so much on the go-anywhere grill that you and your family are enjoying some real nice bbq on the Frontier!

Welcome Tobias! Take pictures and post often Cool

Hi Tobias and a very warm welcome to you.
If you need any spares for the ProQ Frontier, just email me ian@probbq.co.uk and we'll sort something out for you. I assume by the term "grillrost" you need extra cooking grills/ grates and probably some extra brackets too?
It does make sense to have the extra levels if you're cooking chicken pieces and smaller items, as I say, send me an email and I'll be glad to help.
