Greetings from Ontario

Post  Squeezy on Wed Jun 18, 2008 1:06 pm

Hello everyone!

Stumbled on this forum while researching the ProQ smoker. Trying to find a seller with the 'right' price.
Been smokin' off and on for a few years, mostly the last couple. Have 2 ECBs, a Chinese made offset (still in modification) and a Camp Chef Smoke Vault.
I want to give charcoal a go now that I have learned the proper ways to use it.
Am also considering the Weber Gold Kettle.
Love to hear about your opinions on either units or your fave!

Thanks Paul

Hi Paul,

From one North American to another...Welcome.

I'm not nearly as active over here as some, but you have found a fun forum where folks help one another. Glad you're here!

I think the ProQ will serve me better than the Weber Kettle ... now which model?

I don't know what they're going to be selling for in Canada, but you can order through ProQ's U.S. distributor (Fred's Music & BBQ) online at http://www.fredsmusicandbbq.com/category_s/316.htm ...$299US on pre-order.

Yes, a little more expensive than the Weber Kettle, but you get so much more versatility. I own 2 Weber Kettles and am still upgrading...need more room, more function. I can hardly wait for the Excels to get to this side of the pond!

Welcome to the forum Paul, it was nice to have you and your sister in our camp after the Paris competition. Hope you enjoyed yourself and look forward to seeing you again in Barrie.
