alchohol induced sleep
After traveling home (3.5hrs) walking to the pub (10mins) for a few and walking back (45mins) i slept for 12 hours, now back to reality............. I think it will be fine next time as long as i dont spend the preceding 4 nights in Las Vegas.

Fantastic
Looks like a great time and a fantastic event! Perhaps I can convince my bride to let me go on a BBQ World Tour next year and get over there to compete!?!?

DM my friend... that is a very long and sad tale.
I was staying about 25 miles away from the event, so I had to behave, as I am a law abiding citizen.
I will defo be more prepared next year!

Ian,
Two words... Lawn Chair.
Though not that comfortable for every night sleeping, contest sleeping is a bit different...especially after a few beverages of choice.

Actually, I think we're going to start taking hammocks along for a more comfortable snoozing experience...that should do the trick!
