Prayers for a BBQ Legend! Empty Prayers for a BBQ Legend!

Hi Guys,
Fred Pirkle (AKA Shotgun Fred) inventor of the BBQ Guru, suffered a stroke over the weekend.
I had the priviledge of meeting Fred and his crew last year at the Mid Atlantic BBQ Expo and saw him again at the "Jack", an outstanding gentleman with a passion for BBQ.

Spare a thought for Fred and his family as they go through this difficult time.

I was competing at the comp in Salisbury, MD where Fred had the stroke. The EMTs got to him very quickly and he was rushed to the hospital. His is now back in PA and undergoing therapy. He is getting stronger each day.

Thanks for the update Finney, great to hear that the old warhorse is recovering well, from what I hear he's been giving the nurses something to do.
Knowing Fred, he'll have been running BBQ courses from his room.
