Desserts (Puddings) should they be grilled/is it too Girlie? Empty Desserts (Puddings) should they be grilled/is it too Girlie?

Post  All Weather Griller Fri Mar 21, 2008 1:34 pm

I have been known to use the fading heat in the coals to finish an amazing BBQ with a carefully planned dessert. Menus used from a reputable site. However, over months I received grief and abuse for my Sweet tooth.

Should Desserts be left to the Kitchen or is it acceptable to cook them on the grill?

Everything that tastes good will taste better off a grill, so go for it.

Though I am not much of a dessert person, I do like grilled fruits and veggies. I say Grill 'em!

Good man Jim, that's my view... Live n let live!

Although you should try the Calypso Bananas... It's awesome.

Desserts seem to be a great way of getting the kids interested too.

I assumed you would engage in some sporting banter Anvilhead. As always your points are noted... but ignored Cool

I have asked if Mack can post details of the June event as and when he gets 'em.

There are some contests over here where 'pudding' is a judgable category. Though I have to admit, I have never entered that category...not much for desserts (and mostly women enter that group)...but entries usually look pretty good.

If you'd like to come over and compete in any of the contests I produce, I'll see about having a 'pudding' category...just for you. Smile

I have to echo that statement right there. Sometimes I start the small weber just for the veggies, and have started grilling fruits recently.
Like DM said, anything off the grill has to be better!

I do a smoked caramel apple cheesecake on the grill that is very good. Had chocolate creme brule as well that was very good.
