affraid Hello everyone,

I keep seeing everyone asking for cocoshell briquettes and I've found some. It's not gonna be cheep but try here......

http://www.forestfuelstore.co.uk/store-product-detail.php?prodid=35&catid=4

£10 per Kg and £10 for delivery                                         £20 total = £2 per Kg
Or.......by the half pallet £35 delivery approx 25 5Kg bags    £160 total =£1.30 per Kg
Or...... full pallet £45 delivery and 50 5Kg bags.                   £ 295 total =£1.22 per Kg

Forest fuel only have 100 5Kg bags left and will / cannot get anymore.

Contact number for Forest fuel is 0191 387 3463

The guy here is actually really helpful, I popped in on Tuesday this week and got 8 bags [5kg each].
Says once the pallet and a half are gone that is it....no more....something to do with importing issues..??

Just need a smoker now to get it going..!!

I also can recommend them ... http://forestfuelstore.co.uk/store-product-detail.php?prodid=35&catid=4

I spoke with a guy named Mark, very helpful and it is a family owned business.

He also mentioned that the reason that cocoshell is so difficult to come by is because where it is sourced from they may use child labour and hence CPL have discontinued it.

He also mentioned they are looking at a new product which is vegetable based and will be theoretically as good as cocoshell.

Will wait to see what he comes up with Smile

I used to use coconut shell charcoal but switched to Big K's restaurant grade lump charcoal and briquettes about 18 months ago - they are superb quality.
