Which Smoker?
Hi All, Newbie here...never had a food smoker or decent bbq so looking to start getting into smoking, which piece of kit to get tho?
Looking at the Pro Q but what are the pros and cons of one of these against a more conventional "Horizontal" smoker / bbq ?
Cheers

Hi Jambo
Re smokers
I prefer the Pro Q frontier or Excel 3 in 1 water smoker compared to the Horizontal BBQ such as maverick or trailblazer.
with the Frontier or excel you can use it for smoking or grilling with a lot more ease.
I have also cooked pizza on the frontier which was made up on a pizza stone and the place it on the top grill with out the water pan in the BBQ. Then you also have the option of breaking the BBQ down by just using one stacker instead of two. or if you are planning to go to the beach you can just take the lid and the base with one grill and you have a kettle BBQ for grilling while at the beach I guess that all so depends on the weather as well
anyway I hope this is helpful
happy smoking

re excel
Good choice I also have an excel.
You will have to put some photos up of the food you have
smoked in your Excel when you get your excel
happy smoking from Paul

Did you get one yet?
I'm with Paul on this one. Got a Frontier a week ago allready used it twice with perfect results. Believe me it's idiot proof.
