Smoked Finnan Haddie - The Real Deal

Hello everybody....speaking to you from the States enjoying the same passion and am very impressed with the pro cooker and would love to get one but guess I will have to wait until they are distributed in the States...I enjoy cooking on the Big Green Egg and recently did a post on Finnan Haddie in "the Greene egg and I" which unfortunately is becoming harder and harder to find accross the pond....you have a great site here and am looking forward to contributing and sharing, especially in the smoking arena...will be looking to game next, partridge, duck etc....

Hi Mack, I can't post links as I am a Newbie for at least a week...but if you go to The Green Egg and I........com you will find a full explanation with cooking illustrations smoking on the barbi...its been described as the nectar of the God's Razz ..let me know what you think and scroll down for more recipes like marinated butterfly leg of lamb...emmmmm Going to start smoking up some cheese for some old dishes requiring cheese sauce and then some bacon so have to find some pork belly to cure.....so many cooking projects and so little time Smile

Wow! Nice article. It seems quite similar to one of our family favorites... Kedgeree, which also (I think) originates in Scotland. Sounds like you need to get yourself a cold smoke generator Wink
