15 hour Pork shoulder (Butt)

Hi everyone,
Did a great pork shoulder yesterday on my Excel 20 and thought i'd share the results with you. I got the pork shoulder bone in from asda, it was one of there value range, all the others seem to have the bone taken out.
It weighed 2.6kg about 6 pounds.

I cut some of the fat of and popped that in seperatly for crakling.

Then gave it a good rub.
1 cup dark brown sugar
1/2 cup paprika
2-1/2 TBS black pepper
1-1/2 tsp chilli powder
1-1/2 TBS garlic powder
1-1/2 TBS onion powder
1 tsp cayenne pepper
2 TBS sea salt

Then fired up the smoker got it up to temp 225f and popped in some hickory chips.

Three hours in and she's starting to look pretty good, i also did some ribs and a chicken.

Another 12 hours and she hit 200f so took her off, foiled up & wraped in a towel for another hour.

Then it was time to start pulling. Very Happy



Best midnight snack ever.
Well worth the wait.
