Re: Starting a Fire
I like to do it a little easyer and quicker :
Burner tube out of an old portable gasgrill, connected to a small propane/butane tank

Fire in the hole

10 minutes later

Sometimes if i feel i need to scare my neighbours, i like to pull out the weed burner to light up the grill.
Sounds like a F-16 taking off, thats the real macho way of lighting the grill

For refuleing i also use a charcoal chimney, though.
When using a charcoal chinmney, you gotta be careful with the surface it sits on.
Here a pic of a concrete floor in a factory where a buddy and i grilled for the party.

The heat from the chimney made the water in the concrete evaporate in a really loud blast with parts of concrete flying all around us and
the chimney goin 1,5 foot in the air.
The "Crater" was almost 12" diameter and 1,5" deep.
