amigo temps

hey guys

at 9am this morning i fired up about 3kgs of briqueets minion method and ive held 110c until about 3:30pm andits now 5pm and ive just been out to shake the ash down and its gone back up to 100c so thats 8 hrs in total so far, im well chuffed now that i can control the heat better and im gonna try a bigger chunk of meat the weekend, i think i made an amature mistake and kept openig to see how the meat was goin but now i have a thermometer i can leave it closed

Hey Mat,

I've never cooked on an Amigo, but was curious to know if you've charred up a larger cut of meat yet? How'd it go?

yes mate done a leg of lamb with garlic rosemary, also cooked the spuds in there and it was lovely,
the leg of lamg weighed 1.7 k i can keep good heat in there for 12 hrs with a slight mod i made

well as u know it has no bottom vent so i got a sheet of metal that would wrap around the bottom and put some vent in there so i can control heat alot better and yeah it works great
