Just got an email from Fred (Fred's Music & BBQ) that the Excels are on their way, and he has me in cue for shipment! Woo-hoo!!

Glad to here the 20's finally made it to US soil! I'm looking forward to checking them out once they migrate out here to a local dealer.

Any word on if they've been shipped from Freds?

Fingers crossed for ya guys.

I called them on Monday, mentioned that someone on our site said they got an email from them regarding the units being ready to ship, and I had not received an email yet. The gentleman said that they still had not received the units to their site. So at this time they have not shipped.
Why don't you give them a call and ask for us? I have bugged them to much, I do not want them to move my order to the bottom of the list. But the wait is driving me crazy.

Haven't heard (or seen) anything yet, but am still excited for the arrival! Won't be able to fire it up right away though since we're planning a showdown between it and the WSM.

My WSM sponsor for the "Battle for Bullet Smoker Supremacy" backed out in the 11th hour...decided to allocate their donation to another worthy cause. So, if you know of anyone who would like to sponsor the WSM side of the showdown, let me know!

Also, since I have never cooked on either the WSM or the Excel, I would be very interested to hear from those of you who have to find out what questions you would pose for the 2 units. In your experiences, what type of test criteria would you be on the look-out for between the two? We are putting together the criteria and would appreciate any thoughts you have on the units as well.

Just spoken to Fred (the owner)... although the container has cleared through customs, he still doesn't have it at his place. He was expecting it on Monday, and is chasing up his shipping agent to find out what's going on.

I'm sure you could find a neighbor to welcome your new baby home for you...problem is they may not give it back!

Hmm...let's see...California and Texas aren't really THAT far away from Illinois. You guys can just have your Excel's shipped here if you like. I'll take REAL good care of them.
