Nope, not designed a gadget, but if you think upside down like I do, it'll solve the problem Wink

I have one and it's permanently on when not smoking, but it still ingresses water.

I say no to the door. Most of the time I wish my WSMs didn't have a door at all.

But.... Have you designed a gadget that changes the way the lid fits to the WSM and stops it from becoming a Water Butt?

A market on its own there, I am sick of emtying water out of mine when I use it.

Drill a small hole in the center of the bottom pan.

The lid is made that way so that the liquids that condensate in the lid don't run out of the cooker and down the outside.

I am really reluctant to drill the Enamel, if they have designed the lip for this purpose perhaps (and it makes total sense) it should come with the drain hole pre-drilled (prior to the enamel process).

The only problem with this (from a manufacturer's point of view) is that ash will then fall out of the hole in the bottom and may pose a fire hazard.

What about a closeable vent that would allow is to be left open when not in use and closed when in use?

That's a possibility, but can still cause a problem if it's left open by mistake.
