Wood Wraps!

Post  Mack on Tue Aug 19, 2008 10:40 am

Found these paper thin wood wraps and they work really well on the BBQ or in the Oven (to my surprise), so we're going into production.
http://www.probbq.co.uk/Wood%20Wraps.html

They're already available in the States, just someone else doing them, but they work the same.

If our UK and European members would like to try some, email me at ian@probbq.co.uk with your full postal address and I'll get some out to you as soon as they are ready.... now who says "nothing's for free" ?

Some pics to temp you Smile

They not reusable Jim, but they are fairly cheap, work really well and produce the best "WOW factor" I've seen.

The more I thought about it, I couldn't see how they could be reusable. Definately a different take on wood smoking...I'll have to see if I can find some around here and give them a try.

Thanks!

Ian,

Do you plan on offering wood chunks for sale in the future?

Very nice product Ian, i highly recommend those.

I used them at home a couple of times and we also had big success with the cedar wraps at last years competitions.

Heres some pics :

Btw, you dont have to soak the poor wraps in water... use beer, wine, whiskey or rum for way more flavour Twisted Evil

I used some of these this week & took your advise, soaking them in wine (fantastic). I love the sound of soaking them in rum or whisky, but isn't the idea of soaking them to make them non flammable, wouldn't a spirit make them more prone to burst into flames? affraid
