Oh yeah, baby! It's here, it's unpacked, it's assembled, it's burned it...It's great! And I got a FREE HAT!

I ordered my ProQ Excel 20 with the extra third stacker from an Ebay auction for $240 delivered to my door. From what I can tell there is only one authorized dealer here in the U.S. and they are currently out of stock. Plus, I saved a bundle of money, possibly half price or better if you factor in shipping charges. However, because I didn’t buy from an authorized dealer I ...

I am sure I am doing something wrong as I have tried to PM my comments and concerns about the unit and shipping and the distributor to Mack about 3 times. The PM just sets in the out box and apparently never gets sent. I can post it here, but I would rather it be more private. How should I proceed on this one Mack?

I've been smoking on a Weber kettle grill for 18 years (the same one). I have a Weber Genesis that I've had for 8. I use what I buy for a long time and do a lot of research. As posted in the intro's section, I purchased an Excel 20 last Friday after researching a few forums. I'm excited because I've put a fair investment of time and a bit of treasure into getting this right. I'm expecting to enjoy this new smoker for a long, long time.

I started my search thinking about offset smokers, ...

Well, today is just like Christmas day for me, up at 7:30 on my day off. I picked up my new ProBBQ Excel 20. On the way home I stopped by "The Butcher Shop" to see my friend Lawrence and see if he had something I could smoke for my first cook on the Excel. He handed me a nice 12 lb CAB brisket and said "no charge".. I got to say I got the best butcher there is and for any one up in this neck of the woods you got to stop by and check out the great selection he has in his ...

Finally got back from vacation. I'll have to give my neighbor a six pack for taking the Excel inside my house as it was delievered while we were out of town. Traveled all day yesterday from Tahoe back to San Antonio. Get in around 10:45 pm. Do I go to bed.. of course not. That box needed to be opened.

Got everything put together..

Couple of questions.

1. Do I need to use the washers? Two sets came with the materials.. and honestly not sure where to use them

2. ...

Here's my 1st diy smoker made from clay flue liners which can be build as high as you like. Simple firebox with 2 clay pipes. Served me well for a good number of years.

Mark2 made from s/s fridge, gas bottle firebox, s/s flue liner. Is a bit temperamental with wind direction!
