BBBQS (British BBQ Society)
Hi All,
Exciting Times!! As some of you will know I have been working on a comp circuit with a British / UK based set of rules, I am in the process of finalising everything. I have just received an email form one of the event organisers for the Jack, they would like me to send them the final rules, teams per event, number of events, categories etc so that they can put a proposal together to their BBQ committee.
I will post separately a draft set of rules for the BBBQS (British BBQ Society) if you have any comments / feedback please post on this topic or pm me.
Dry run / forum meeting will be held on either 16th - 17th or 23rd - 24th May depending on which is more popular (please let me know on this topic) to be held at GU10 1BP,
Thanks
Toby

BBBQS
Nice one Toby, I'll hold off from any events until after your get together so as to clarify things. I will make myself available for whichever weekend you choose. Feel free to call me if you still have my number. Looking forward to the website and hooking up for some cooking.

official comp
Hi Andy,
It will be the first official BBBQS competition, run over 2 days. The forum side is so that people can raise issues, ideas about future competitions, society rules, additions to the comp circuit etc.
Hope that makes sense.

Hi Toby,
What's the drills in terms of accommodation? is the site suitable for touring vans or do we need to look locally?

Access, Parking, Camping
Although at the end of a single track lane, there will not be any problems getting caravans or tourers up here. If the weather lets us down i have a large area of hard standing which will avoid the tyre sinking in mud situation. There is plenty of room for camping in the paddock.
Please feel free to ask any questions. I check the site several times a day.

Re: BBBQS (British BBQ Society)
Nice one Toby,
Not sure if I will have a team fully assembled but I will definitely be there.
Let me know when you post the details, e.g website, details on cuts if we bring our own etc.

The Distance Is Not Too Far....
Having a BBQ contest any where in the UK is just fabulous. - How anyone can say it is too far to Guilford from Nottingham is a joke! - Try going to a contest in america to see what far is! - Keep it going Toby, I will bring a team from Yorkshire, no problem. Especially over a bank holiday weekend - It will be fantastic - our lads (and lassies) are revved up and ready to go!!!
